Adult Programs

Literacy skills are needed every day – at work, at home, at school and in the community. They form the essential foundation upon which people can build additional skills and they help people become more independent.

The Timmins Learning Centre provides free reading, writing, math and computer instruction. We help adults improve their skills for work, further education or independence.

Our Adult Literacy Program Offers

  • Morning, afternoon and evening classes
  • Small group instruction with one-to-one help from staff and volunteers
  • Individualized training programs
  • Access to a computer lab
  • Funding for transportation and childcare available for qualified students
Employment Ontario

This Employment Ontario service is funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario and through the Canada-Ontario Job Fund Agreement.
